As founder of Phoenician Foot & Ankle Specialists, Dr. Sana is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified in foot surgery as well as rear foot and ankle reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

A long-time resident of the Valley of the Sun, Dr. Nima Sana has expert knowledge in treating and resolving a wide spectrum of foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Sana found his calling with podiatric medicine based on his passion for resolving complicated and painful issues. Dr. Sana understands that surgical intervention may be an option of last resort for some patient, and therefore utilizes both non-surgical and surgical procedures, considering surgical intervention after conservative care.

Dr. Sana received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, receiving top-notch Podiatric medical training at affiliated teaching hospitals and clinics in Manhattan, NY. Thereafter, he completed a three-year Podiatric Surgical Residency at world renowned Mount Sinai Medical Center, in Manhattan, NY. During his residency, Dr. Sana received extensive training in wound care, diabetic limb salvage, management of emergency trauma and complicated foot infections, sports injuries, and pediatric foot problems and all other Podiatric foot and ankle ailments. He was trained by more than twenty podiatric surgeons and foot and ankle orthopedists in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions, with extensive training in both conservative and surgical management.

Dr. Sana has been involved with research conducted by the prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ and his work has been published by publications such as BNI (Barrow Neurological Institute) Quarterly.

Dr. Sana recently returned to Phoenix, AZ where he grew up and attended Arizona State University and where he received two masters’ degrees, Master in Public Health and Masters in Health Administration at A.T. Still University.
